I was born in Athens, but I grew up in a small village called Petrina, 10 Km outside Githio Lakonias. In the age of 13, I moved to Diakopto Achaias and I lived there until high school graduation. Then, I moved permanently in Patras to study Mathematics in the University of Patras.

I received both my B.Sc. and Ph.D. from the Department of Mathematics of the University of Patras. Subsequently, I was a visiting lecturer at the University of the Aegean, the University of Patras, and the University of Central Greece. I am currently with the Department of Computer Science and Biomedical Informatics of the University of Thessaly.

I am married to Eleni Tzanaki and we have two wonderful daughters; Ariadne and Electra. I really enjoy snowboarding in the winter and windsurfing during the summer. I also like jogging and playing basketball.
